The documentary and the follow up discussion examine the 2020 Belarusian presidential election and its aftermath, focusing on the mass protests that erupted over alleged electoral fraud by Alexander Lukashenka’s regime. It captures the experiences of protesters, the government‘s violent crackdown, and the resilience of the Belarusian opposition. Through interviews, raw footage, and expert insights, the film sheds light on police brutality, mass arrests, and the broader fight for democracy.

Dr. Katerina Brezinova, a head of the Iberoamerian Center of Metrpolitan University Prague, is just back from the University of Cambridge’s Newnham College. Along with Tanya Harmer from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Emily Snyder from University of Cambridge, Dr. Brezinova has organized there a two-day international conference: "Transnational Training, Education, and Knowledge Exchange in Revolutionary Cuba." Indian Ambassador Visits MUP to Discuss Closer Cooperation

Indian Ambassador Raveesh Kumar paid a ceremonial visit to Metropolitan University Prague (MUP). During a meeting with the university’s rector and representatives of the Department of Asian Studies, he highlighted the department as one of the few in the Czech Republic focusing on India and outlined possible avenues for future collaboration.

Starting from the winter semester of this year, MUP students will have one more Japanese destination to choose from. A new student exchange agreement has been added to the six existing partnerships between MUP and Meio University in Okinawa, Japan. The agreement was officially signed in Prague by Meio University President, Prof. Masanori Sunagawa, and MUP Rector, Prof. Michal Klíma.
