
NATO in the Post-Sovereign Globalized World
16. 12. 2019 Author: Vít Beneš On December 4, 2019, Center for Security Studies and Department of International Relations and European Studies, Metropolitan University Prague organized a public seminar NATO in the Post-Sovereign Globalized World. Presentations were delivered by general Petr Pavel, former chief of the NATO Military Committee and Petr Kolář, former Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Sweden, Ireland, the USA and Russia.Both guests provided their views on threats NATO faces from the East and from the South and shared their unique insight into inner workings of NATO and the Czech diplomacy. The subsequent debate with the audience focused primarily on the past, present and future of NATO – Russia relations. The seminar has attracted a diverse audience of more than sixty students of diverse nationalities, academics and practitioners.
